The Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre showcases the story of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Scheme, one of Australia’s biggest and greatest feats in engineering and construction. With seven power stations, two of which are underground, 16 major dams, and over 140 kilometres of trans-mountain tunnels, it is a symbol of Australian endeavour at its best. The various models, exhibits and interactive displays in the centre explain the sheer scope of this iconic development.

Translated to 'The Procession of Princes', this huge mural portrays 93 people, of which 35 are kings, princes and dukes. The mural was created during the late 19th century to celebrate the 800-year anniversary of the Wetting dynasty, and has been a touristic attraction ever since.
