di Rosa is truly an experience for the senses. The site spans over 200 acres of vineyard, gardens, and natural landscape in the Carneros Appellation of the Napa Valley. They house an acclaimed collection of contemporary Bay Area art, encompassing over 2,000 works by more than 800 artists. The art reflects the creative efforts of individuals who wished to capture the imagination and innovation of Northern California. Westwood Hills Park invites visitors to escape into three miles of well-marked trails winding through shady oak groves, open grassy meadows, and quiet ridges. Here, you’ll find panoramic views of the Napa Valley that make the climb worthwhile. Benches and picnic tables are thoughtfully scattered along the way, offering spots to catch your breath, take in the landscape, or enjoy a packed lunch. By the parking lot, the Carolyn Parr Nature Museum, run by Napa Valley Naturalists, opens a window into the region’s rich biodiversity. Inside, interactive exhibits explore Napa County’s distinct ecosystems, from wetlands to woodlands, with a hands-on “touch table” featuring animal pelts, nests, and bones—a favorite for kids and curious adults. The museum also includes a children’s nature library and a reference corner for anyone looking to dig deeper into Napa’s flora and fauna.

The town square of Paralimni is dominated by the metropolitan, three-aisled church, dedicated to St George, the patron saint of the town. The church was finished in 1966 in a traditional Byzantine style and is full of contemporary frescoes. The impressive fresco which decorates the dome depicts the “All Powerful” surrounded by the Archangels, the Prophets and numerous saints. The gothic church of St George is located next to the metropolitan church in the main square of Paralimni. According to a marble inscription, it was erected in 1859 in the place of an older Byzantine church, parts of which have been incorporated in this one. Part of its northern wall is covered with a large fresco depicting St George killing a dragon.
