Just off Piazza dei Signori, these five Gothic tombs belong to the Scaliger family, who ruled Verona in the 13th and 14th centuries. The tombs are tall, ornate, and shaped like mini stone canopies—hard to miss once you spot them.

Housed in a large former power station, Tate Modern is Britain's leading art gallery when it comes to modern and contemporary art. As well as the Tate's much anticipated exhibitions, there's a fantastic permanent collection to explore. It features works by artists as diverse as Matisse, Picasso, Rothko, Pollock, Warhol and Bourgeois.

Added in early 2002 as the second main pillar of the Kunstsammlung and accommodating contemporary art was the Ständehaus am Kaiserteich, until 1988 the seat of the Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. Four wings with continuous arcades surround the building’s central public area, a spacious plaza. The creative treatment of this representative building in the Historicist style (1876-80) by the Munich architectural office of Kiessler + Partner created a modern museum building with a striking glaze domed roof which shapes the building’s aesthetic and at the same time spans an expansive sculpture garden located on the uppermost level. Together, a flexible hall for temporary exhibitions in the ground floor level and the upper galleries comprise more than 5300 m² of surface area. Installations and artist’s rooms are an important focus of the Kunstsammlung, an area which has been expanded continuously in recent years.

The Children's Museum Mondo Mio is a magical place where everyone can enjoy their time by learning, touching and participating. This is a journey where the kids can discover various cultures of the world and explore how people live on other continents. Unusual and interesting musical instruments and toys made of recycled rubbish are also displayed in the museum. There are also plenty of unusual and exciting exhibits to explore!
