While there's plenty to so in Charlotte Amalie on land, it would be a great loss not to explore the underwater wonders of the U.S. Virgin Islands. The easiest thing to do is rent a snorkel and explore the shallow waters by the beach, but you should definitely consider trying something more advanced at least once. Snorkelling is the cheapest choice. Add some diving equipment to go deeper and see more. Some tours now offer Sea Trek helmets — a modern take on the diving helmet. No matter your choice of equipment, do explore the coral reefs that are home to tropical fish such as snapper, hamlets, parrot fish, sturgeon, squirrel fish and majestic sea turtles.

Explore the nature and culture by bike! For the first time in Sweden you can do this on an International cycling trail. It's 370 kilometres long, almost free from cars, with unique seaside locations. The trail connects Helsingborg in the south to Gothenburg in the north, all the way through Halland. Kattegattleden is divided into 8 sections. Each section offers unique tourist destinations, places to stay, bike rentals and service stations. Cycle through fantastic landscapes, eat in small authentic restaurants, swim at rocky or soft sandy beaches, and just enjoy the wind in your face.

Located in what was once a monastery in the village of Susch, Muzeum Susch is a place devoted to exhibiting pieces of art coming from different times, experimental presentations and performances. Most of their lineup changes in accordance with their events, but there are permanent installations such as Monika Sosnowska's "Stairs", a structure made of steel weighing one tonne and measuring 14 metres in height.
