The Roman city of Itálica is home to an ancient amphitheatre (you may know it as the Dragonpit in “Game of Thrones”), aqueducts, mosaics, and much more. Founded in 206 BC, it was one of the most advanced cities at the time. Itálica is located 7 kilometres outside of Seville, which makes a visit to the archaeological site a perfect day trip.

Built from the late 14th to the 15th centuries, the Santiago Cathedral is the city’s oldest major church, dedicated to Saint James (Santiago), Bilbao's patron saint. The building features a mix of different styles: its core is Gothic (nave, vault, cloister), a grand Renaissance portico was added in the 1500s, while much of the façade and tower with spire were rebuilt in a neo-Gothic style in the late 1800s by Severino de Achúcarro. Inside, you’ll see three naves, several side chapels, the Gothic cloister accessible via the Door of the Angel ('Puerta del Ángel'), and beyond the main altar, there’s an ambulatory with chapels. Floods in 1983 caused damage, but the cathedral was restored and reopened around 2000.

Kustvägen (the coast road) is a 75-kmstretch of road south of Sundsvall, that runs from Jättendal in the south to Svartvik in the north. Take the opportunity to leave the big roads and experience the lovely Swedish coastline. The road will take you through forest and agriculture landscape. You'll find genuine fishing villages, Norrland’s longest beach, restaurants & cafés, industrial museums, golf courses, hotels, camping, B&Bs, fishing and more.

Organized by the Calgary Folk Fest, Block Heater is a winter music festival taking place across several locations like the National Music Centre, King Eddy, Festival Hall, and the Central Library in Downtown Calgary. Both Canadian and international performers join this annual celebration of all genres of music, from electronic to folk.
