Step off the busy streets of Montreal and into nature to take in city life from up above. Mount Royal is a perfect viewpoint to see the entire city in all its glory. The way up is a bit of a hike, so wear good shoes, but once you're there, take a deep breath and let the clean, fresh air fill your lungs. Do not miss Saint Joseph's Oratory.

Moored in San Pedro, the Battleship USS Iowa Museum lets you wander through one of the most magnificent and surprisingly personal pieces of U.S. naval history. Known as the “Battleship of Presidents,” the Iowa once carried FDR across the Atlantic and later served through WWII, Korea, and the Cold War. As you move through the ship’s narrow corridors and out onto the decks, you get a real sense of what life was like for the crew: giant gun turrets towering overhead, cramped bunks stacked in rows, and glimpses of the command centers that once buzzed with activity. Veteran volunteers are often on hand to share stories or point out easy-to-miss details.

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles boasts an impressive permanent collection of contemporary art and hosts dynamic rotating exhibitions. MOCA operates three distinct venues: the main facility on Grand Avenue, the Geffen Contemporary in Little Tokyo, accommodating larger works and installations, and the MOCA Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

If you have never taken a Hammam, the Turkish bath, you have never really been clean. It's a real adventure to experience it in a traditional environment. There are separate baths for ladies and gentlemen, but tourists are often allowed to take a mixed bath together.
