San Xavier del Bac Mission, located 10 miles south of Tucson on the Tohono O’odham Nation, is an iconic example of Spanish colonial architecture. Known as the “White Dove of the Desert,” its striking white facade contrasts beautifully with the surrounding desert landscape. Built between 1783 and 1787, the mission blends Moorish, Byzantine, and Mexican Renaissance styles, featuring intricate carvings, vibrant murals, and a gilded retable depicting biblical stories. Still an active parish, it holds daily masses and remains a spiritual center for the Tohono O’odham people. Originally constructed in 1912 and rebuilt after WWII in 1956, the Tsūtenkaku Tower stands 103 meters tall and gives you an outstanding view of all of Osaka. When on top you can venture to step on the platform with a guide and safety belt to experience some exciting vertigo.

The Umgeni River Bird Park contains one of the world's most extensive collections of indigenous and exotic birds, all showcased in the park's multiple aviaries accessible to visitors. One of the indisputable highlights is the free-flight bird show held twice daily.
