Enjoy a coffee on the Vorderreihe (sea front),|the promenade and Travemunde’s most beautiful shopping mall, and try your luck in Travemunde‘s|famous casino. In the breezy heights of the old lighthouse you get a panorama view of the Trave estuary, and a trip on a|traditional ship offers you a real adventure! You could take the passenger ferry to the peninsula Priwall and spend a relaxing day on the beach.

Narrow alleyways, historic buildings, and salty air, proud sailing vessels,|marzipan and maritime stories – these are the characteristics of Lubeck! Through|the winding alleys which have been declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Further through hidden courtyards to the historic beauties anchored|along the quayside of the museum harbour. Travemünde Magic of Lights

The summer by the sea is slowly fading, the days are getting shorter and we kindly invite you to celebrate the "magic of lights" with us! Experience the festival of a thousand lights with artistic performances and a firework by the lake at the romantic-enchanted Godewindpark. The trees, the lake and the meadows transform into a shining sea of lights in the evening hours and create a fantastic scenery for night owls and those who love to take a walk under a starry sky.

Season Opener

Attention all water nymphs, the sea is open! The traditional “Anbaden” ceremony in Travemünde is a MUST for all really bold and daring swimmers. All the rest can celebrate the heroes after their dip in the water.

Gone with the wind - Travemünde Kite Festival

The kites are flying! The kites will be flying high over Travemünde's beach once again. Professionals and amateurs alike send kites of every type into the sky. The kite flyers must contend with the autumn wind, while the newly designed Strandpromenade offers spectators the best possible vantage point for the colourful event on the beach. Refreshments will naturally be on offer as well. Children can make their own kites and kite chains under supervision in the “Spielmobil”.

You like fancy movies? Then you will love our open air cinema under the Baltic sky! For 11 days Travemünde will be the most beautiful outdoor cinema in Germany. Enjoy blockbusters and classics of the cinema history firsthand under the clear sky and directly on the beach. Cuddle in a warm cozy blanket on the beach terraces, chill out in a deck chair or relax in one of the beach chairs - whatever you go for, we promise you an unforgettable evening at the movies where you can also enjoy fruity cocktails, spicy dishes and sweet culinary delights.
