Faros Beach, also known as Lighthouse Beach, graces the western edge of Pafos with its sandy shores and commanding views, a perfect vantage point for romantic sunsets. From mid-April through October, you can enjoy a variety of water sports, rent sunbeds and umbrellas, and even play beach volleyball on the dedicated court. Accessibility is a breeze whether you’re arriving by bus, car, motorcycle, or bicycle, with comfortable accommodation just a stone’s throw away.

Kafizis Beach is a compact sandy stretch of seafront with occasional rocks, located in the Pegeia tourist area. The beach is well-connected, reachable by bus, car or motorbike. During the summer season, amenities such as sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire. There are several restaurants perfect for sunset dining with sea views.

Yiannakis Beach, also known as Ksistarokampos, is located in Neo Chorio and is easily accessible by car, motorbike and bus. There is no sand, but very small pebbles, so the water is very clear. The first few metres are shallow, but further out you can swim to your heart's content. It's one of the friendliest beaches in the neighbourhood and the eponymous bar/restaurant offers a great service and fresh seafood menu.

Polis Chrysochous Municipal Beach offers a serene escape. It's easy to access via car, motorbike or bus. Rarely overcrowded, it presents a harmonious blend of natural beauty and practical amenities, with a pleasant mix of sand meets pebbles underfoot. The sea, tamed by a breakwater, presents a gentle invitation for a swim with a picturesque backdrop of the harbour and mountains. For dining or a quick refreshment, the beach bar and nearby restaurants serve a variety of options. While the shore may challenge bare feet with its pebbled texture, it's nothing a pair of flip-flops can't handle. With the added perks of free WiFi and reasonably priced sunbeds, this beach is an accommodating and picturesque spot to soak in the sun or enjoy the shallow waters that give way to the deep blue beyond.

Coral Bay, one of the region's finest sandy beaches, sits near Pegeia. You can reach it easily by car, motorbike, bicycle or bus. The beach offers water sports along with sunbed and umbrella rentals. In summer, lively beach parties draw crowds of visitors.

Geroskipou Municipal Beach buzzes with activity — water sports, tournaments, concerts and open-air cinema screenings. Its golden sands and calm shallow waters attract visitors of all ages, especially families. You'll find full facilities including bathrooms, showers, changing rooms, sunbeds and umbrellas, plus a children's playground. Nearby options range from restaurants and fish taverns to cafes, bars and nightclubs.

Laourou Beach (also called Corallia Beach) sits adjacent to Coral Bay in Pegeia’s resort area. This sandy stretch is accessible by car, motorbike, bicycle or bus. Its calm, shallow waters and golden sand appeal to all visitors, particularly families. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas or try water sports on site.

The Municipal Baths Beach sits just 300 metres from Pafos Castle in Kato Pafos, a few steps from Poseidonos Avenue. Popular with locals, this sandy beach has minimal rocks and clear directional signage. From April 15th to October 31st, you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas or try water sports while lifeguards patrol with safety equipment.

Nestled between Limassol and Pafos, Aphrodite's Beach is permeated by a romantic atmosphere, in a suggestive backdrop that is hardly forgettable. Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, chose the rock that stands imposingly in the beach's shallow waters to begin her life, donating a mythological aura to its shore.

Pafos, on Cyprus’s western coast, ranks among the country’s top diving destinations. Positioned at the crossroads of three continents, the region blends cultural influences with exceptional underwater conditions. The sea here offers ideal diving conditions — warm temperatures (16°C to 27°C), exceptional visibility, and one of the Mediterranean’s longest diving seasons. This innovative snorkelling park in Pafos’ Protected Area of the Municipal Baths combines art and marine conservation. The first of its kind in Cyprus, it features free diving among sculptural compositions by artist Yiota Ioannidou. Three oversized shell sculptures, crafted from eco-friendly concrete, sit submerged in close proximity. A smaller cluster of sea urchin sculptures on nearby rocks hints at the underwater discovery awaiting visitors. The shells pay homage to Aphrodite’s mythological connection to Cyprus, echoing her birth from sea foam on a shell. Historically linked to fertility rituals, such shells were offered at the goddess’s temples. The project cleverly bridges this ancient symbolism with modern conservation. Designed to harmonise with the marine environment, the sculptures serve dual purposes. Their geometric shapes and textured interiors attract marine life while functioning as artworks. This creates a unique swimming experience that enhances both biodiversity and the destination’s appeal within a protected zone.
