The peninsula which projects straight out into the Mediterranean lies nine kilometres east of Nice. A playground for billionaires, the Prince of Monaco’s illegitimate children, and various jet-setters. The promenade along the beach, with its tiny bathing beaches, is open to everybody. Monaco is located between the South of France and Italy, right on the Mediterranean Sea. Monaco is a country of the monarchy with Prince Albert II as head of state.
