To Aspö, an island with about 500 inhabitants, you can take less than half an hour with the Aspöfärjan from Handelshamnen in Karlskrona. There is plenty to do here and if you have a bike with you, Aspö offers two-mile-long rounds on winding roads that take you deep into the island's summer wilderness. Along the way, you can cool off at the island's bathing area or take a lovely dip from the cliffs. If you are interested in art, you can stop at one of the malls on the island. Queen's Castle, dating from the 17th century, is part of the World Heritage and definitely a must-visit during the Aspö stay.
