Explanada de España is one of the city’s emblems. It runs parallel to one of the port wharfs and is lined on both sides with rows of palm trees. The floor is decorated with 6,600,000 tricolour marble tiles forming a design with a characteristic wave effect mosaic. Visitors and locals alike can enjoy these areas at any time of the year, thanks to the pleasant climate. Throughout the year there are workshops, entertainment, children’s theatre, puppet shows, etc. predominantly aimed at children and families. Other parks and gardens worth visiting are: La Ereta park: located on the slopes of Mount Benacantil at the foot of the Santa Bárbara Castle, opposite El Postiguet beach. From here you can enjoy unbeatable views of the city and follow an interesting route from the summit down to the city’s old quarter. El Palmeral park: is one of the most spectacular parks in the city, formed by a wooded area containing palm trees, ponds, lakes and artificial streams. It contains sports facilities and a cross-country cycling track, as well as a pavilion where a regular programme of events is scheduled including activities, children's theatre, puppet shows, etc. Canalejas: It is one of the most traditional open spaces in Alicante. It has spectacular lush vegetation including several hundred-year old rubber plants measuring 20 metres high. Gabriel Miró Square: This square honours the Alicante writer of the same name. Just a few metres from the Explanada and the seafront promenade, it has a monument in the form of a fountain and centenary trees with luxuriant foliage, creating a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere.

Centennial Park is one of the finest parks in Nashville featuring a nice pond, lots of walkways and large green fields. It is also here the iconic Parthenon stands. The park is the perfect getaway on a sunny afternoon. Bring a picnic basket, a blanket and just enjoy a few hours away from the city streets.

It is on this mystery Island that the new heart of Szczecin is being born. Today’s Łasztownia is a completely different place to the closed port island from a while back. Once an isolated, mysterious space, today it is one of the favourite places for people going for walks, running, biking or fans of good coffee and international cuisine. Gradually renovated buildings of the old butcher’s complex, historic port cranes, new boulevards, cafés, restaurants, a yacht port and big events bring huge crowds to Łasztownia. It is here where you can find Euroregion Culture Center “Stara Rzeźnia”, the growing Marine Science Centre, and every day the Cranosauruses perform their illuminated dance. The number of attractions creating the atmosphere of this unique place is still growing. In the future we will see more investments and projects which will eventually be the implementation of the winning concept of the international competition for the island development vision. Walking on the Łasztownia wharfs, if you’re lucky enough, you will feel the aroma of chocolate, coming from the Gryf chocolate factory. After dark you’ll surely see the illumination of three historic cranes, nicknamed “Cranosauruses”. Don’t forget to take a picture with a marine sign “SZCZECIN”, located on the square at the end of Old Town Quay. This is also the place where you can best see the Old Town panorama, with the monumental buildings of Wały Chrobrego and the Ducal Castle. From Łasztownia, we go directly onto the neighbouring Grodzka Island, which attracts both children and adults with a beach, beach bar and events for families, kings of the dance floor and fans of open-air cinemas.

The list of experiences on offer includes indoor surfing, a rafting course and a near-vertical water tunnel ending with a looping slide.
