The building of the Cayman Islands National Museum dates back to the 1800s and is a focal point of George Town. Roughly the size of half a football field, this peculiar area is famous for its short, black, ironshore karst formations. The jagged structures make Hell appear rather treacherous. It is reported that the zoo inspired some elements of the animals depicted in the internationally acclaimed film 'Life of Pi'.
