Rotary Beach is Lake Havasu City’s largest public beach and park, granting easy access via boat or vehicle. Enjoy great recreational amenities as well: volleyball courts, ball fields, a swimming area, a skate park, a walking path, exercise stations, multiple playgrounds, picnic areas, and barbecues. The 5-mph no-wake zone within the Thompson Bay is a favorite of boaters. Rotary Beach is also only a short distance away from the London Bridge.

Take a 1-hour journey to Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dalí, and step into his surreal masterpiece — the Dalí Theatre-Museum, designed by the artist himself. Don’t miss the Mae West room, an upside-down bathtub fixed to the ceiling, or the glittering jewellery collection. The artist himself is buried in a crypt below the stage, adding a layer of solemnity to the whimsy. Book tickets online to avoid long queues, and allow at least half a day to fully absorb the labyrinthine galleries, optical illusions, and the sheer audacity of Dalí’s vision.

Ljubljana Zoo, nestled in the pristine natural surroundings of Tivoli Park, Rožnik, and Šišenski hrib, is home to both native and exotic animals. The zoo is home to over 100 animal species and offers a variety of interactive experiences, enabling visitors to have direct contact with the animals.

The Museum of Modern Art showcases a permanent collection of 20th-century Slovene artists, alongside temporary exhibitions. Since 2010, a selection of its avant-garde art collection has been on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MSUM) at Metelkova.
