Along with performing its primary function as a means of transportation, the historic Blackpool tramway is the last one of the first-generation tramways in the UK, making it a rather unique local attraction. The line runs along the scenic coast from Blackpool to Fleetwood.

Saint Martin Carnival is one of the island's cultural highlights, where locals and tourists get together in the streets to sing, dance, make music, throw confetti and have a good time watching the lively parade.
