Airport
There are two airports on the island: Reina Sofia in the south, and Los Rodeos, located in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. Reina Sofia is the main airport and is located 60 km south of the capital of Santa Cruz and about 25 minutes from Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas. A taxi from Reina Sofia to Los Cristianos costs approximately €25.
From Los Rodeos to Puerto de la Cruz takes around 30 minutes by bus and 15 minutes from Santa Cruz. Local busses always leave from both airports for the various parts of the island. A taxi from Los Rodeos to Puerto de la Cruz costs €25-30.
Public Transport
The busses on Tenerife provide an excellent network and they can take you to most places worth seeing on the island. The journey from Playa de las Americas to the capital Santa Cruz takes about one hour by bus. Bus cards can be bought at the newspaper stands.

Post
Post offices are open Monday-Friday from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm. Saturdays from 9.30 am to 2 pm. Stamps can also be bought from tobacconists.
Pharmacy
Chemists’ shops can be found all over the island. In Playa de las Americas, there is a Farmacia in Urbanización Eugenio. For information regarding 24 hours pharmacies please contact the local tourist information.
