Minorca - Essential Information

Airport

Menorca Airport is located four kilometres southwest of the capital, Mao.

During the summer, buses link the airport with Mao every half hour (€1.50 each way).

Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall and will cost in the region of €12 to Mao €50 to Ciutadella. Alternatively, you can hire a car at one of the many on-site rental offices.

Public transport

Several private bus companies cover a variety of routes on the island. Cars, motorbikes or bicycles are also suitable means of transport, with roads generally well signposted. There are cycle lanes on some of the minor roads.

Several of the more popular coves are only accessible by private roads and a small toll is charged in some instances.

Taxi

Taxis are generally inexpensive, charging around €0.40 per kilometre with fixed rates for longer distances.
