As Port Zante is located right in Basseterre's city centre, getting there by ferry or taxi is relatively easy. There are also mini vans called "route taxis" If you are going to Port Zante in a route taxi, look for one that has "Basseterre" written on the front sign. Once you board the minibus, you can tell the driver that you want to go to Port Zante. The minibus will drop you off at the bus terminal in downtown Basseterre, and from there it's just a 10-minute walk to Port Zante. You can ask locals for directions or follow the signs to the cruise ship terminal. Sandusky is home to one of the finest collections of historic architecture in the Midwest. Most of the earliest buildings were carved from limestone, and now a plethora of historical sites remain. The Cassedy-West Building, the G. A. Boeckling building, and Hubbard's Block are among the most popular.

There are not ATM machines in the port premises, but a short walk into Basseterre will take you to the local banks which all have machines. Most ATMs give local currency, although there are a few ones giving US dollars for a service fee.

Once a racetrack, and the place where the Bangladeshi Declaration of Independence took place, this vast park holds historical importance. A fine place to relax by day, it converts into an open-air market at night, so there is never a bad time to visit.
