A tapering tower located south of New Delhi, Qutub Minar rises on a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of the Afghan architecture that sprang up in the Islamic India from 1193. Thought to be a victory tower, it is said to be constructed to celebrate the beginning of the Muslim domination in India and, with the Qutub Complex, it is a show of that long gone majestic era.

Temple Of Literature, built in 1070 under Lý Thánh Tông’s dynasty, can be found about ten minutes from Hoan Kiem Lake. The temple is one of the oldest sights in Hanoi and is dedicated to the Chinese philosopher Confucius (Khong Tu). Six years later, it was founded as Vietnam's first university. The building is extremely well preserved, with landscaped courtyards, several altars and shrines, and a beautiful example of traditional-style Vietnamese architecture.

Downtown Houston has been stepping up its game, and it’s a great place to explore on foot. Hop off the METRORail and you’re in the middle of it all—Broadway shows at the Hobby Center, Astros or Rockets games, live music, and some seriously good food. Discovery Green is always buzzing with events, while Market Square Park has a more laid-back vibe with historic charm and cozy bars. And if the Texas heat gets to you, take a detour through the downtown tunnel system—a hidden maze of air-conditioned walkways with cafés, shops, and a steady stream of office workers on their lunch breaks.

Situated on the southern tip of Florida, the Everglades is a vast wetland preserve spanning 1.5 million acres. It is the only subtropical wetland in North America and the only place in the world where alligators and crocodiles live side by side. This expansive ecosystem is home to many endangered species, including the leatherback turtle, Florida panther, and West Indian manatee. As there is no public transportation to the park, renting a car or joining an organized boat or bus tour is the best way to get to this wildlife experience.
