Fort Borst Park is one of Centralia's main attractions, with myriad recreational activities for visitors. Enjoy a stroll during the springtime surrounded by rhododendrons. As the weather continues to warm, take to the walking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, volleyball areas, and waters. There are also historical structures, including the 1860’s Borst Homestead, a replica of the Borst One Room Schoolhouse, an arboretum, and the Fort Borst Blockhouse.

Snowy Mountains is the premier trout fishing region in New South Wales, and it takes over as the most popular sporting activity come the spring melt. Brown, rainbow and brook trout, as well as Atlantic salmon, breed and prosper here. It's possible to go fishing in winter, but only on lakes and reservoirs, as most streams are closed from late June until the first weekend of October. Tobe was once a separate town to the south of Matsuyama. It's home to many potteries producing ceramics known collectively as Tobe-yaki. These tend to be white with navy blue decoration, although there are many varieties. You can purchase very serviceable tableware for everyday use at the potteries, and you can also try your hand at making your own ceramics. Tobe is also home to a number of interesting museums and a sake brewery.

The lighthouse of Biarritz, le Phare de Biarritz, is another location where you can enjoy views of the city. Climb the small hill and, if you dare, take a look into the lighthouse on top. Also, take a look around and experience that great atmosphere.
