The Tareq Rajab Museum of Islamic Calligraphy is a highly specialised institution dedicated entirely to the art of Arabic script. Housed in a private villa just blocks away from the Tareq Rajab Museum, it showcases a vast and diverse collection that spans centuries, from a rare 7th-century Hijazi folio to works by master calligraphers. The exhibits demonstrate the application of calligraphy across various mediums, including manuscripts, ceramics, metalwork, and textiles. More than a historical archive, the museum presents calligraphy as a living, evolving art form, offering a profound and intimate exploration of one of the Islamic world's most revered artistic traditions.

This small and elegant mosque is one of Tirana's oldest surviving structures. Closed during communist rule, it reopened for worship in 1991 after being shuttered for decades. Many religious sites were destroyed during the atheism campaigns of the 1960s, but this mosque was spared. Its distinctive frescoes, found both inside and outside the portico, depict nature scenes like trees, waterfalls and bridges, which are unusual motifs in Islamic art.

The Kuwait Towers are a defining national symbol, their distinctive blue-green sequined spheres rising prominently on the city's coastline. The main tower features a viewing sphere 120 metres above the ground, providing a 360-degree panorama of Kuwait City and the Persian Gulf. The complex also houses a revolving restaurant and a café.
