The famous Blackpool Illuminations are what keeps visitors coming to the city long after the bathing season is over. Every year, from late August to early November, Blackpool lights up with over one million bulbs along the Promenade all the way to Bispham in the north - a sight not to be missed.

This horse rescue farm, located only a short drive away from Blackpool city, is a great choice for a family day out. The Union Station was completed in 1900 and functioned as a passenger terminal until 1979. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the landmark building experienced years of neglect until it was converted into an opulent hotel, detailed with wrought iron and Italian marble. Its lobby features a barrel-vaulted, 65-feet-high ceiling enclosed by stained glass. The station looks spectacular from the outside.
