This ultra-modern gallery is an oasis of contemporary art and culture located on the historic grounds of University College Cork. The gallery also hosts regular events, workshops, and courses for all ages.

Lining up the eastern side of the Vågen harbour is Bergen's most famous postcard, Bryggen. A series of colourful wooden buildings, which once housed the trading offices of the Hanseatic League. Over the years, Bryggen has been ravaged by many fires, and in 1702 the entire city was reduced to ashes. Its rebuilding followed the foundations that had been there since the 12th century, which means that Bryggen was able to retain its medieval architecture. In 1979, the area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. And today, Bryggen is home to museums, shops, restaurants, and pubs.

For those interested in Texas history while in Montgomery, be sure to visit the N.H.Davis Pioneer Complex & Museum which displays artifacts and memorabilia from the era when Texas was an independent republic. The museum is housed in a historical structure originally owned by a lawyer, who built it in 1851 using logs received as payment for legal services. Visitors can explore period furnishings, a replica of the original Lone Star Flag sketch, and the Republic of Texas seal, both adopted in 1839. The complex also features informative plaques that detail the lives of Native settlements in the area.

Perched atop the stark white cliffs of Pamukkale lies Hierapolis — an ancient city that's as rich in history as it is in thermal springs. These gleaming white formations, made of travertine — a sedimentary rock deposited by the mineral-rich hot waters — give the town its name, meaning 'Cotton Castle'. With temperatures ranging from 35°C to a steamy 100°C, these hot springs have been creating an expanding landscape of terraces for centuries, as calcium carbonate from the waters crystallises into the soft gel of travertine. Awarded UNESCO World Heritage status, Hierapolis and Pamukkale offer a unique fusion of cultural history and natural wonder that should not be missed.
