This one-of-a-kind nature reserve is filled with deciduous forest, seaweed belts, pines and a bloomy open ground that borders a waterfilled quarry. It also showcases the rugged beauty of Karlshamn's granite and coastal gneiss. Rich in history, the land areas harbour ancient and cultural monuments, including a Stone Age settlement, graves, and stone burials from the Bronze and Iron Ages. Notably, remnants of the Per Albin Line, a 500 km long defensive line from the Second World War, add historical significance to the reserve. Submerged in the water area around Sternö and Boön, several shipwrecks contribute to the reserve's maritime allure.

One of India's - and, indeed, the entire world's - finest beaches traces the Keralan coast roughly 15km away from central Thiruvananthapuram. The beach is a travellers' darling and a popular evening hangout spot for Thiruvananthapuram locals. The Lighthouse Beach at Kovalam's southern end has an elevated viewing platform and is especially scenic.

A natural science exhibition, aquarium, terrarium and insectarium are what makes up the Löbbecke collection. The museum collaborates with others in various projects concerning the protection of nature and species, animal geography, behavioural biology and reproduction. Cooperation in the preservation of endangered species is one of the tasks of the Aquazoo, as is the scientific documentation of the collection. The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen presents a demanding and variegated exhibition program at three locations: at the K20 Grabbeplatz, at the K21 Ständehaus and at the Schmela Haus. Around a half-century ago, in August of 1961, the regional government of North Rhine-Westphalia established the Foundation of the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen. The purchase of 88 works by artist Paul Klee was the “opening salvo.” Since then, the Kunstsammlung has become one of the most recognised art museums worldwide, with a collection which ranges from Classical Modernism to American Pop Art and major contemporary works.
