In the heart of Chiang Mai lies Wat Chedi Luang, a massive, ancient Buddhist temple, dating back to the 14th century. It boasts a towering chedi (stupa) that once soared to greater heights before succumbing to an earthquake in 1545. Despite its partial collapse, the grandeur of Wat Chedi Luang continues to mesmerise travellers, who flock to marvel at its intricate architecture and serene ambiance. As the sun casts golden hues upon its weathered stones, visitors are transported to a bygone era, where whispers of history and spirituality intertwine, leaving an indelible impression on all who wander its sacred grounds.

Located in Pulau Payar and the three surrounding islands, 30 km south of Pulau Langkawi, this marine park is a heaven for those who love snorkelling, because of its uncontaminated waters and abundant sea life. Of particular interest is the Coral Garden, a section of the park characterised by beautiful and colourful coral formations. The Park can only be visited as part of a tour, which can be booked in Langkawi. The boat trip takes around 45 minutes.

A natural science exhibition, aquarium, terrarium and insectarium are what makes up the Löbbecke collection. The museum collaborates with others in various projects concerning the protection of nature and species, animal geography, behavioural biology and reproduction. Cooperation in the preservation of endangered species is one of the tasks of the Aquazoo, as is the scientific documentation of the collection.
