Mount Tallac is a challenging hike perfect for seasoned adventurers. Spanning 9.5 miles round trip, the trail ascends to Lake Tahoe's tallest peak at an elevation of 9,735 feet. As you make your way to the summit, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking vistas, including stunning views of the lake, rugged ridges, lush meadows, and alpine lakes. The trail can be steep and rocky, so proper footwear is essential. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as the trek can take several hours to complete. Early morning hikes are recommended to avoid the afternoon heat and enjoy a quieter experience.

The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen presents a demanding and variegated exhibition program at three locations: at the K20 Grabbeplatz, at the K21 Ständehaus and at the Schmela Haus. Around a half-century ago, in August of 1961, the regional government of North Rhine-Westphalia established the Foundation of the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen. The three Art Nouveau kiosks by architect Ernesto Basile appear like unexpected gems along the buzzing streets of Palermo. Built about the end of the 19th century, the kiosks once hosted the traditional Sicilian vendors of soft drinks and refreshing beverages but are today converted into tobacconists. Chiosco Ribaudo located in Piazza Verdi, the most famous one, is a crimson and wrought iron building adorned with golden letters. The second Ribaudo kiosk in Piazza Castelnuovo is decorated with colourful majolica and mosaics while the Chiosco Vicari, in front of the Teatro Massimo, is a triumph of Moorish, Islamic, and Colonial architecture.
