The Yangmingshan National Park provides the backdrop while you hike away the strain of a hard day’s city sightseeing. The park is located just to the north of Taipei and is Taipei's closest national park. This is a very beautiful site and a must see.

Situated at the foot of Morne Bruce, Roseau's favourite lookout spot, this 40-acre botanical garden is a convenient option to explore Dominica's indigenous species. Doubling as an event venue today, it nonetheless offers an educational and no less spectacular walk among palm trees, orchids, medicinal plants and the parrot sanctuary — keep an eye out for the Sisserou parrot, Dominica's national bird. As a curious testimony to the park's hurricane-stricken past, you can even find the remains of a bus at the foot of a baobab tree.

Sanxia Old Street is one of the most well reserved historic streets in Taiwan, one that's about 200 metres long. This is a great place to stroll around, and one where you can admire the old street-houses with Taiwanese traditional architecture. It is also one of the most visited places in Taipei during the weekends.

Not far from the Brandenburg Gate you'll the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, also known as the Holocaust Memorial. It is a grid of stelae (2,711 concrete slabs) on a sloping field accessible from all sides. It serves as a central place of remembrance and admonition and is supplemented by an underground information centre, containing the names of all known victims and details on the places of horror.
