The Rijeka Tunnel, also called TunelRi, served as a shelter for civilians from aerial bombings during the endgame of Second War II, or during the Civil War. With its 330 metres, it stretches below the Old Town to the Dolac Primary School; the main gate is located right next to the Cathedral of St Vitus. In 2017, after 75 years, the tunnel has been opened to the public and is one of the main attractions of the city, still featuring original signs.

This imposing 14th-century Gothic cathedral stands tall atop the old Roman and Renaissance city walls, looking out over Palma's harbour and old town. It was built over hundreds of years on the ruins of the mosque that once stood there. Famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí had a hand in the restoration project early in the 20th century, though he quit the project over a dispute with the contractor. This beautiful architectural wonder offers breathtaking views in every direction and is the perfect starting point for a walking tour through the city.

Gamla Stan, Stockholm's historic Old Town, is a fascinating district that transports visitors back in time with its cobblestone streets, medieval architecture, and rich cultural heritage. Strolling through Gamla Stan's narrow alleyways, you'll come across a treasure trove of well-preserved buildings, including the iconic Royal Palace and the renowned Storkyrkan Cathedral. The neighbourhood's charming squares, such as Stortorget and Järntorget, are adorned with colourful facades and brimming with cosy cafés, traditional restaurants, and charming shops. Gamla Stan also offers an array of museums and cultural attractions.

This excavation rivals the famous sites of Pompeii. Once home to around 400,000 residents, ancient Ephesus was built around the temple of Artemis — another marvel among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The ruins we see today primarily hail from the Roman era. The remnants of the Temple of Artemis stand outside the main ruin area, while the hill above is graced with the cathedral of Saint John, said to be the final resting place of the evangelist. Legend holds that Saint John lived in Ephesus alongside the Virgin Mary.
