Located west of Newcastle, this region is home to many of Australia’s top wineries, most of which are centred around Polkobin, although Cessnock is the area’s main town. The main attraction here is visiting the wineries and tasting the fruits of their labour, of course. There is no public transport between the wineries in Hunter Valley, so your best bet would be to take a tour. Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Tours:

On the south-east of the Lavezzi Islands lies a well-known diving site in Corsica: Merouville, also known as Grouper city. You can dive surrounded by friendly groupers. They are not at all shy and some even enjoy being petted by swimmers. These fish are protected by law. Several companies rent out material and boats and organise tours in Bonifacio.

The grand, fairy-tale castle-like main building in Timrå was built in 1883–1885 as a summer residence for the timber magnate Fredrik Bünsow, who was one of Sweden's most powerful timber barons at the time. The architects were Isak Gustaf Clason and Fritz Eckert. Clason is known for designing the Nordic Museum and Hallwyl Palace in Stockholm. The beautiful castle (or Villa Merlo, as it is actually called) is now a cultural heritage site and houses Svenska Cellulosa's central archive. In the summer, you can take a guided tour to see the many rooms and halls that still retain their former glory. Even the garden alone is well worth a visit.

Along with performing its primary function as a means of transportation, the historic Blackpool tramway is the last one of the first-generation tramways in the UK, making it a rather unique local attraction. The line runs along the scenic coast from Blackpool to Fleetwood.
