A well preserved, colonnaded medieaval old town with its world renowned Golden Roof. Right next to this there's a brightly coloured, sparkling imperial palace, the Hofburg - baroque and monumental. A stone’s throw away is the Hofkirche, a court church containing larger-than-life bronze statues, the Schwarze Mander, standing guard around the (empty) tomb of Emperor Maximilian I., a truly breath-taking sight and unique in Europe. High above this superb architecture towers the Nordkette, a magnificent mountain range between 2300 and 2500 m.

Alice Springs, or 'The Alice', lies in the heart of Australia and is unofficially considered the capital of the Outback. While it was once regarded as a 'dead heart' during colonial times because of the surrounding barren landscapes, today both residents and visitors recognise the physical and spiritual importance of Australia’s Centre. It is alive with Aboriginal traditions and sacred sites, a vibrant local art and culture, fascinating pioneering history and incredible landscapes.

Over a decade ago, Lille was awarded the European Capital of Culture title, marking not its pinnacle but rather the start of its journey. In the years since, it has established itself as a premier cultural destination, rivalling any other in northern France and, according to some, beyond. Once a thriving commercial hub in French Flanders, Lille still exudes a strong Flemish character, both in its cuisine and the ornate buildings of its charming Old Town.

Tivat feels like a town that’s caught in between — between old fishing days and shiny new marinas, between quiet corners and glamorous yachts. It’s small, but the kind of place that makes you want to stick around. Wander the cobbled streets, grab a coffee by the water, and you’ll get a sense of its easy-going rhythm. The Bay of Kotor stretches out before you, and while Tivat has its share of sleek, modern spots, there’s a certain charm in the old stone buildings and the salty breeze that still gives the place its soul.
