Römerberg is a medieval square and the hub of the Old Town, Altstadt. The original Römerberg was destroyed during World War II, but it has been rebuilt since and nowadays you can once again stroll around this beautiful square and look at the various buildings. Hopefully your timing is right and you will get to witness one of the public festivals that are held here. At the centre of the square lies the Fountain of Justice (Gerechtigkeitsbrunnen), where the statue of goddess Justitia holds the scales of justice. Perhaps the most famous building here is the "Römer", which is the city hall, and has been so for the last 600 years.

Set in a well-maintained garden, this mini golf course with 14 holes is fun for the whole family. Miniature temples work as hurdles and make the golf round exciting and unpredictable and the view of open greenery rice fields surrounded by friendly local villagers is also wonderful.

Cyrano de Bergerac is the titular fictional character from poet and dramatist Edmond Rostand’s great comedic work, adopted by the town of Bergerac. The statue is surrounded by quaint restaurants and is a great place to take a break from exploring the town.

This adorable water mill, which rests on the banks of the Dordogne, is now an interactive museum dedicated to the production of cotton paper. AS well as exhibitions on the production process and the history of paper-making in the region, visitors can see how the equipment is used and produce their own paper.
