As a beacon for the City of Brotherly Love, John F. Kennedy Plaza gives way to Love Park — an epicenter of food, art, music, and fun since its emergence in the 1960s. Robert Indiana’s renowned “LOVE” sculpture overlooks JFK Plaza, drawing kisses from countless locals and visitors for decades. But perhaps best known as the forefront of world skateboarding venues, Love Park made Philadelphia the only city to hold ESPN's “X Games” twice in a row.

Enjoy some absolutely staggering vistas from the viewpoints of Cannon Fort, a military construction built by the Japanese during WWII amongst the thick tropical vegetation of the green hills of Cát Bà island. Explore the tunnels and the historic gun emplacement used by Japanese, French, and Vietnamese soldiers throughout the past century. There is even a small museum, a café and mannequin gunmen loading and firing the weaponry.

Paradise Point is one of the three most enticing viewing stops in Charlotte Amalie. The gondola of the Skyride smoothly takes you up 213 m (700 ft) to an observation area with scenic views of the bay, a restaurant and bar. Try the famed Bushwhacker cocktail to cool down a bit.

The Daciensi Temple complex, anchored by the striking Daciensi Tower, stands as one of Xi’an’s most treasured landmarks. Originally built during the Tang Dynasty by Emperor Gaozong in memory of his mother, this historic site carries the weight of centuries. Legend has it that after the famed monk Xuanzang's epic journey to India to obtain sacred Buddhist scriptures, he returned here to translate them, setting up the temple as one of the earliest centres of Buddhist learning in China. Within the temple grounds, the iconic Dayan Pagoda (also known as the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda) draws most of the attention. Built in the 7th century, it’s an enduring symbol of China’s first female ruler, Empress Wu Zetian, and her devotion to Buddhist teachings. Architecturally, the pagoda is a masterpiece of Tang Dynasty design, and climbing its steep, stone steps rewards you with sweeping views of Xi’an below.
