Spanning over 1,400 km, the Skåneleden Nature Trail offers a mosaic of scenic landscapes and cultural gems. Divided into six subtrails and over 100 day hikes, it caters to hikers of all skill levels, ages and interests, whether you're drawn to coastal paths by sand dunes and charming harbours or the meandering trails along Hallandsås Ridge. Each path varies in difficulty and length, ensuring a fulfilling experience for every hiker.

Argassi beach extends for a kilometre along the island's southeastern coast. While its strip of sand is narrow, limiting its appeal for all-day sunbathing, it remains a pleasant spot for a swim. The coastline features numerous coves and rock formations, creating an interesting environment for snorkelling. The beach offers a wide range of water sports and is well-equipped for families, especially thanks to the clear shallow waters. The adjacent town contributes significantly to its appeal, with a variety of lively bars, restaurants and shops.

Accessible only by air, this remote part of the country is known to have claimed lives of both beasts and humans (hence the macabre name) - whale carcasses still line the coast, serving as a grim reminder of the once flourishing whaling industry. One of the biggest "attractions" here is the Dunedin Star, a British ship wrecked in the 1940s. At Cape Cross, the scenery changes: this lively oasis inhabited with hundreds of seals and sea lions frolicking jovially by the water.
