The Open Air Theatre is situated on the green "peninsula" of the well-known Opatija’s “Angiolina Park”, right by the sea. This layer is called the Mohorovičić Discontinuity, or Moho for short. He was born in the house at the very beginning of the Lungomare coastal promenade. Built in an eclectic-neoclassical style, between 1900 and 1906, the Museum of Fine Arts houses a vast collection spanning from prehistory to the present day. Highlights include an impressive Egyptian collection, Renaissance frescoes, and an array of 19th-century paintings.
