Located in the northwestern part of the island, it is said that Navagio beach is not only the most famous beach in Greece but one of the most impressive of the Mediterranean. People used to call it Agios Georgios but, due to a shipwreck happened in 1983, the beach is now called Navagio, which is the Greek translation of the word "shipwreck". There are two ways to approach this breathtaking miracle of nature: you can either travel by boat and swim in its turquoise waters, or by car, and admire the beach from the special viewing platform.
