Centennial Olympic Park was built for the 1996 Summer Olympics, but today, it’s a central gathering spot in downtown Atlanta. It’s a great place to take a break while exploring the city, with wide green spaces, walking paths, and the famous Fountain of Rings, where kids (and sometimes adults) cool off in the synchronized water jets. The park also hosts concerts and events throughout the year, so check the calendar if you’re in town. It’s also close to major attractions like the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola, making it an easy stop while sightseeing.

In this theatre you can view the fascinating and unusual art form "bunraku", which is a Japanese puppet drama derived from the 17th-century. There are also English programs available and earphones for translations.

Beautiful white sands accompany vistas of the lake and mountains at Windsor Beach. Picnic tables, armadas, and grills make for the perfect day for friends and family alike. After lunch, hike the Mohave Sunset Trail, a scenic 1.75 mile walk, and stroll through the Arroyo-Camino Interpretive Garden. A diverse array of wildflowers and fauna can be seen here as well.
