About an hour from Bordeaux, Arcachon Bay is known for its calm waters and wide sandy beaches, shaped by oyster farming that still thrives here. You can cycle along quiet paths, spot birds on the nearby Île aux Oiseaux, and stop for fresh oysters at one of the local seafood shacks. Just next door is the Dune du Pilat, Europe’s tallest sand dune, rising over 100 metres. Climbing it rewards you with wide views across the bay and the Atlantic beyond. Located in piazza Cavour, the famous fountain La Fontana Della Pigna was built in 1543 by Giovanni da Carrara, although in part it dates back to the Roman period. The fountain is of great significance as it served as the sole source of drinking water in the city until the public aqueduct was established in 1912. Additionally, there is an inscription on the fountain referring to Leonardo da Vinci's delight upon seeing this fountain.

Borgo San Giuliano, a quaint neighbourhood characterized by its vibrant, painted walls and narrow streets, is most renowned for its captivating murals adorning many of the buildings. Despite its past reputation for poverty and crime, this area has undergone a remarkable transformation, evolving from a disadvantaged neighbourhood into a charming and picturesque enclave. As you stroll through the streets of Borgo San Giuliano, you'll be greeted by a visual feast of colourful artwork. Don't forget to bring your camera along as you explore this beautiful district, which owes much of its fame to the legendary filmmaker Federico Fellini.

Nisyros is a famous tourist island located in the Aegean Sea. According to mythology, during the War of the Giants, Poseidon. the god of the sea, plucked a rock from Kos and hurled it at the giant Polyvotis. The crushed giant became Nisyros, a giant sea rock which shakes the earth every now and then with its volcano.
