Welcome to the Nordic region's longest narrow-gauge railway between Hultsfred and Västervik. Smalspåret is a living museum showcasing the railway journey some 40–50 years ago. In the summer, both steam trains and railbuses roll along the tracks, with booked tours for groups available year-round. Designated by the Swedish National Heritage Board as one of the country's most interesting industrial monuments, the railway traverses scenic landscapes, alongside lakes and past steep mountains.

XVIII century construction from the Baroque period, ascribed to José Sierra The church is situated in the old part of the town, just beside the Nobel house of the Orduña’s. This construction was built between 1740 and 1753 over the plot of land where the primitive temple used to be and dates from the Christian Conquest (XIII century). The church was burnt and plundered during the Civil War and was again changed in 1962, shortening its length and changing the ground floor, this led to the loss of the cupola and the transept. Between 1995 and 1996 we undertook the task of renovation and interior decoration in order to save the present day building.

The famous Whitehaven Beach with its white silica sand rests just a mere 20-minute boat ride from Hamilton Island. This place is so stunning the BBC voted it the number one beach to include in your bucket list. Note that you can get there only by booking a tour with a company, for instance Cruise Withsundays, which organises trips to Whitehaven Beach almost daily.

Get energised and burn some calories by staying active on your vacation. Hamilton Island Sports Club offers plenty of diverse ways to make up for some holiday indulgence. Try high intensity interval training, attend a yoga class or pick up a tennis racket. Reward yourself with a visit to the spa room afterwards. Additionally, the Whitsundays host numerous sport events like gruelling triathlons, professional and amateur golf tournaments, ocean swims, charity walks and beach runs.
