2009 saw Gamcheon turn from an area of budget housing for refugees of the Korean War into a premier tourist attraction, all thanks to a collective effort by local students and artists, who transformed the neighbourhood with colourful wall painting and street art. Today Gamcheon even has a tourist office of its own: stop by on your way in to pick up a detailed map of the village's attractions; collect a stamp at each and you'll receive a small prize from the tourist office on submission. There is a small museum telling the neighbourhood's story, and a number of shops, cafes and street food stalls. When wandering the maze of Gamcheon's streets, please respect the privacy of family homes.

North of Nottingham, in Newark, you can find the The Holocaust Centre. This place says they want to promote an “understanding of the roots of discrimination and prejudice and the development of ethical values, leading to a greater understanding within society”. You will definately not leave the place unmoved.

Some of the world’s best surfing beaches are here in the Gold Coast — every day there are rideable waves somewhere along the coast both for the experienced and for the beginners. Kitesurfing is also a popular and fun sport on this beach.

Surrounded by the Casa Rosada (the presidential office), the Cabildo (former seat of government during colonial times), the Banco de la Nación and the city's main cathedral, Plaza de Mayo is the very heart of Buenos Aires and civic life and thus where most of the city's rather frequent protests take place.
