As Port Zante is located right in Basseterre's city centre, getting there by ferry or taxi is relatively easy. There are also mini vans called "route taxis" If you are going to Port Zante in a route taxi, look for one that has "Basseterre" written on the front sign. Once you board the minibus, you can tell the driver that you want to go to Port Zante. The minibus will drop you off at the bus terminal in downtown Basseterre, and from there it's just a 10-minute walk to Port Zante. You can ask locals for directions or follow the signs to the cruise ship terminal. Checkpoint Charlie, the most famous of the inner-German border crossing points and a name known the world over, was where Allied border guards would register members of the American, English and French Armed Forces (and their families) before they visited East Berlin. The "Wall Museum – Museum House at Checkpoint Charlie” is right next to this major tourist spot. The museum displays an incredible number of the original means and tools that people used in their escape out of the GDR: from the hot-air balloon to a mini-submarine, plus plenty of real and fake travel documents.

Only 70 metres of the Western Wall are visible from the outside, but the shrine continues underground for half a kilometre more. To visit this part, join a guided tour of the tunnels. You will reach the segment of the Wall which was closer to the Holy of Holiest, the most sacred part of Solomon's Temple. Praying here has a particularly deep meaning for Jewish people, and there's a small synagogue for this purpose. Other notable sights are houses and pools from the Second Temple era, imposing stone arches, and an aqueduct from the 2nd century BC.

Known in English as Liberation Square, Al-Tahrir Square is Baghdad’s largest and most central public space, located on the eastern bank of the Tigris River. This open area, lined with benches and gardens, is a popular gathering spot where locals relax with friends and family. Historically significant, the square symbolises Iraq’s liberation from British colonial rule and continues to be a focal point for political demonstrations. The surrounding area is lively, with numerous bookstores, tea stalls, and restaurants.
