The Nordic Center at Waterville Valley is responsible for over 40 miles of meticulously maintained trails for cross-country skiing, suitable for both classical and skate skiing. The full-service retail and rental shop offers equipment for all ages and skill levels, as well as lessons, clinics, and special Nordic events. Dogs are allowed on select trails, and the stunning New Hampshire wilderness adds to the experience, making it one of the region’s top spots for Nordic skiing.

This extraordinary religious site consists of four medieval churches, originally there were seven churches, and therefore it is known by the name of Sette Chiese (Seven Churches). Besides churches, this peaceful complex contains cloisters, tombs and courtyards, a great place to browse religious art and artefacts as well. The most interesting is the church of the Sepolcro, which preserves a representation of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.

Veliki Tabor is one of the best preserved late medieval and Renaissance castles in the continental part of Croatia, built by the noble Rattkay family during the 16th century. The oldest part of the complex is the central fortified building - donjon - used for dwelling and defence.
