To really get a deeper understanding of the area, head inland towards the golden sand dunes that are home to a myriad of hidden treasures. One not-so-hidden treasure is the amphitheatre of El Jem which was a set for the film Gladiator and is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site owing to its size and importance during the Roman Empire. Due to the drifting sands of the desert, archaeologists periodically make discoveries here, the most recent of which is a large racetrack that had gone unnoticed for centuries. A private tour, which can last anywhere between four hours and three days, will take adventurers from Monastir through the surrounding Bedouin villages, past Kairouan to El Jem.

Port Zante is the largest cruise port in Saint Kitts and Nevis. The pier area consists of three separate piers designated for cruise ships. The pier area can currently accommodate up to four large cruise ships simultaneously. On busy days, when more than four ships arrive, the ships without a pier either use the cargo port or tender passengers ashore. The Port terminal includes various amenities such as restaurants, shops, cafes and a car park. The port's location could not be better, as it is only a short ten-minute walk to downtown Basseterre or "The Circus" as the locals call it. There is a duty-free shopping area where passengers can buy different goods tax-free. However, in order to benefit from this duty-free rates, local vendors might ask for a proof of non-residence such as a cruise ship card, a foreign driver's license, or a passport.

On the coast between San Vito Lo Capo and Castellamare del Golfo, the Zingaro Natural Reserve stretches for 7 km of virgin wilderness. Tell in few words how charming this place is, is a challenge. The crystal water of Sicily meets here amazing beaches sprinkled with white pebbles. In addition, the protection offered by the reserve assures the survival of local fauna and flora, preserving the untouched environment of this area together with all its colours and perfumes.

If Timisoara is called "the city of flowers" it is largely due to this amazing park that offers a wide array of different, colourful flowers and lots of white benches that combine to create an extremely romantic atmosphere.
