The park is dedicated initially to Xue Tao, a famous female poet of Tang dynasty. It is known for its collection of more than 200 species of bamboo. Step on to the top of the Chongli Tower and have a panoramic view of the Jinjiang River that goes through the city.

Explore the history of the various prehistoric farmers who settled in Ireland, from the Mesolithic period to the time of the Norman Invasion (1169). Reconstructed dwellings such as a mesolithic camp, a neolithic farmstead, a portal dolmen, a cyst grave, stone circle, medieval ringfort, monastic site, crannóg (ancient lake dwelling) and a Viking harbour are spread across 35 acres of parkland, estuary trails and wetland forest. The park also runs demonstrations on traditional rural life skills from blacksmithing to gold panning. This is a truly immersive experience exploring Ireland's roots and forgotten traditions.

Just east of the area of Al Qatif is Tarout, a small island containing a number of fascinating historical sights. Chief among them is beautiful Tarout Castle, which dates back to the 16th century. Interestingly, no one is sure whether it was built by locals to defend themselves from Portuguese attacks, or whether it was the Portuguese who built it to defend themselves from Turkish attacks.

A cultural hub with the objective of inspiring and empowering creative minds. The King Abdulaziz Centre is located in the nearby city of Dhahran. Their library is a free-entry facility, spanning four floors and housing more than 240,000 volumes and audiobooks in Arabic and English. Here you'll also find a cinema, a theatre and a museum, for which guided tours are available.
