Tropea is a small town located on the east coast of Calabria, 64 km from Lamezia. It’s known for its white beaches which run right up to Capo Vaticano, its clifftop historic centre, and prized red onions. The town itself is quite picturesque and romantic with winding streets and beautiful small piazzas. Noteworthy is the 12th-century Tropea Cathedral, which was built in distinctive yellow lava rock by the Normans during the 12th century and houses an interesting black crucifix, two unexploded World War II bombs, and a painting of the dark-skinned Madonna of Romania. Due to a number of wonders, the citizens of Tropea have proclaimed the Virgin Mary of Romania the patron of the village.

Situated within the Hira Cultural District, the Museum of the Holy Quran is the first of its kind in Mecca, dedicated to the history and physical tradition of the Islamic scripture. Its collection features rare manuscripts, including a photographed copy of the Uthman ibn Affan mushaf, and displays record-holding items like the world's largest Quran. The museum employs interactive technology to trace the Quran's journey from early transcriptions on materials like palm leaves to modern printed editions.

Bristol's Old City includes the grand, dignified buildings surrounding the Corn Exchange and St Nicholas Market, where you’ll find an intriguing mix of stalls – not to mention regular street markets, including the weekly farmer's market and monthly slow food market. Nearby, you can stroll along the cobbled streets of Welsh Back, King Street and Queen Square with its fine Georgian buildings.
