Built on the mouth of the Colligan river in the 12th century, the Anglo-Norman Castle of King John is an important landmark in Irish history: it served as a barracks in the 18th century, and was at the forefront of battles during the Irish Civil War, when it was almost completely destroyed.

The historic Kunsthalle houses a diverse collection of both classical masterpieces and contemporary works of art. Its paintings, sculptures and graphic art works are regularly complemented by special exhibitions. Additionally, the Kunsthalle's façade is also something to admire, blending classical and modern architecture. At night, the light installation adds a special dimension to the museum.

Discovery Green is Houston’s go-to urban park for outdoor fun, events, and community gatherings.
