Purana Quila (Old Fort), a massive fortress with three gateways, is located on the ancient part of the city and it allegedly stands on the site of the legendary city of Indraprastha, mentioned in the Mahabharata Hindu text. The fort was completed by the ruler Sher Shah in the mid-16th century.

The Salvador Dalí House Museum in Portlligat offers an intimate glimpse into the daily life and creative world of the surrealist master. What began as a simple fisherman's hut in 1930 evolved over four decades into a labyrinthine complex of interconnected rooms, each personally designed by Dalí and his wife Gala. The house is a surreal work of art in itself, with winding corridors, unexpected level changes, and windows meticulously framed to capture views of the serene Portlligat bay. Visitors can explore the artist's studio, private quarters, and the famous "Bear Hall", surrounded by the eclectic objects and taxidermy that fueled his imagination. The preserved interiors feel frozen in time, maintaining the atmosphere of creative isolation Dalí cherished.

With a mix of architectural styles (with a heavy Gothic influence), this beautiful building is a must-see when in Rouen. Palais de Justice was restored after World War II, but is today just as glorious as it was in the 16th century. Entry isn't open to the public, but do pay a visit to the courtyard area.

This site is an opportunity that Beirut offers to admire its Roman heritage. Located right in the heart of downtown, between Banks Street and Capuchin Street, these archaeological ruins showcase a glimpse into the city’s ancient past. You can still see the four halls, a marble pool, stone basins, and even a medicinal garden that reflects Roman traditions. Just a short walk away, you’ll also find the Roman Forum of Beirut. Best of all, entry is free of charge.
