The Museum of Applied Arts is a branch of the National Museum in Poznan. It is located on the Przemysl Hill, in the very heart of the city of Poznan. The castle tower which is 43 meters high, offers a unique view of the city and its surroundings. In the space of 1500 m² in the joint buildings of the Przemysł Castle and Raczyński’s edifice, a new exhibition, devoted entirely to the applied art, is presented. It is the only such place in Poland. Amongst 2000 objects arranged in a unique way, one can find furniture, ceramics, glass and metal, weapons, jewellery, fabrics, costumes and accessories. The museum presents applied art from Middle Ages until modern times.

Nisyros is a famous tourist island located in the Aegean Sea. According to mythology, during the War of the Giants, Poseidon. the god of the sea, plucked a rock from Kos and hurled it at the giant Polyvotis. The crushed giant became Nisyros, a giant sea rock which shakes the earth every now and then with its volcano.

The expansive Plaza de la Revolución (formerly Plaza Cívica) is an important landmark where some of Cuba's most significant political rallies took place. Part of 'new Havana', this square is the modernist home of the Cuban government (Comité Central del Partido Comunista de Cuba), but is most known for its murals of iconic figures like Che Guevara and revolutionary Camilo Cienfuegos, as well as the city's tallest monument dedicated to José Martí, an independence activist and Cuban National Hero (take the elevator up for spectacular views).

Videos and memorabilia highlighting the 1960 Winter Olympics are on display in this characteristic museum, including authentic uniforms of the USA team, current Squaw Valley athlete memorabilia and a hockey stick and puck from 1960 Winter Games. Admission is free with an Aerial Tram ticket.
