Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy Temple, was built during the 19th century by Chinese settlers of Hokkien descent. It is the oldest Chinese temple in Georgetown, named in honour of a devout Buddhist sage.

About an hour south of Anchorage, the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a haven for animals that wouldn’t make it in the wild—moose, bison, bears, musk oxen, and more. Most of the animals are rescues, or were orphaned or injured, and the center provides them with the care they need to thrive. Walk or drive the loop to observe these majestic creatures in their expansive, natural habitat, with the Chugach Mountains as your backdrop.

Frösö Church, one of Jämtland's major tourist attractions, holds a rich history dating back to the 12th century. Archaeological findings suggest the church was built on a former pagan sacrificial site. Despite a destructive fire in 1898, the church's interiors were salvaged, and it remains a testament to the region's heritage. Renowned for its association with composer Wilhelm Peterson-Berger's compositions, the church's picturesque surroundings contribute to its popularity as one of Sweden's preferred wedding venues.
