Walking tours of the history and spooky legends are offered daily, and free trolley rides are even given between Historic Downtown and Branson Landing. Annual events held include the Plumb Nellie Days, Fiddle Festival, Autumn Daze, Piccadilly Women’s Event, Veteran’s Day Parade, and the Adoration Parade.

Nisyros is a famous tourist island located in the Aegean Sea. According to mythology, during the War of the Giants, Poseidon. the god of the sea, plucked a rock from Kos and hurled it at the giant Polyvotis. The crushed giant became Nisyros, a giant sea rock which shakes the earth every now and then with its volcano.

Famous Greek monuments and splendid artworks from different historical periods are exhibited at The Archaeological Museum of Kos. The most extraordinary displays here include beautiful mosaics, statues from the ancient site of Asklepeion, an extensive collection of prehistoric pottery and metallic objects, exhibits from a tomb of a young athlete dating back to the 3rd century B.C, coins, anaglyphs with various representations and many other items.

Marine life is abundant in the waters around the lush Reunion Island. Quite a number of local companies offer organized tours to some of the best spots where sighting a school of dolphins is all but guaranteed. To see massive whales, it is best to visit Reunion between June and October.
