This 20th Century palace was built by the Pasha of Casablanca, and it is both a great example of Moroccan architecture and a popular movie setting that also hosts music festivals. Although the palace is not open to the public, its great décor and outside appearance are well worth a visit.

Freedom Beach stays quiet for a reason: it’s tucked behind the jungle and can be reached either by longtail boat or by a steep trail for those willing to hike. The effort pays off with soft sand, clear water, and almost no facilities. Kata Beach has more going on, with surf lessons, cafés, and plenty of space, while Kata Noi, just around the corner, is calmer and more relaxed. Patong Beach is the opposite end of the spectrum: long, busy, and lined with bars, shops, and nightlife. Somewhere in between, Karon, Nai Harn, and Surin offer long stretches of sand without the chaos, still with enough restaurants and sunbeds if needed.

Lake Padden Park is Bellingham's 900-acre park and offers miles of walking and biking trails. Enjoy numerous picnic tables, grills, a golf course, basketball courts and plenty of other recreational facilities.

Stretching 16 km from Woods Hole to North Falmouth, the Shining Sea Bikeway is a picturesque trail that showcases the best of Cape Cod’s natural beauty. This paved path winds through salt marshes, cranberry bogs, serene woodlands, and along breathtaking coastal vistas. Bike rentals are conveniently available at both ends, making it easy to hop on and explore whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a casual rider.
