Nowhere else in the world is there a collection of Gandharan art more extensive than that of the Peshawar Museum, housed inside an attractive Victorian building (much of the Gandharan section was closed for renovations as of fall 2017, so do give a call prior to visiting).

The beloved Uptown Art Fair in Uptown Minneapolis has passed the torch to SoMi (South Minneapolis) Art Fair, with the full force of the state on display. Admire and purchase the handiwork of talented artists, enjoy food and drinks from one of the many food trucks and beer gardens, and listen to music at the performance stage. This family-friendly event has special kids zones and an area for youth artists.

Situated to the west of Östersund, the largest island in Lake Storsjön, Frösön holds a rich historical significance. Named after the Norse god Freyr, the island, which served as the regional centre of Jämtland throughout much of recorded history, boasts the northernmost raised runestone in the world, known as the "Frösö Runestone”. Easily accessible by foot, car, or bus, the island is a short walk across the pedestrian bridge from Östersund. The renowned Swedish composer Wilhelm Peterson-Berger's enchantment with the island led to the creation of "Sommarhagen", now a museum and one of Östersund's most visited attractions.

Situated on the pebbly shores of the Baie des Anges on the French Riviera, Nice is renowned worldwide for its year-round sunshine, azure sea, and sophisticated boutiques.
